INTERNSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 11, 2025

Established in 1989, the Labor Investing for Tomorrow (LIFT) summer internship program provides college juniors, seniors and graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, with the option to earn college credits. The program provides exposure to the Virgin Islands workforce, allowing interns to enhance their skills, build professional networks, and establish meaningful connections in their fields of interest.

Duration:

May - July 2025 (8 weeks)
30 hours per week

Pay Rate:

$14.00

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

To apply for the 2025 LIFT Summer Internship Program, all applicants must complete the application form and upload the required supporting documents listed below.

Program admission is competitive and contingent upon meeting eligibility criteria. Applications will be reviewed for eligibility and advancement in the selection process. Note that the selection process is highly competitive, with the essay accounting for a significant portion of the evaluation.
- Essay Weight: 60% (evaluated on content, organization, mechanics and style)
- GPA Weight: 40%
All supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline to ensure equal consideration.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

GPA: Minimum 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
Age: Between the ages of 18-25
Academic Status: Currently in college/graduate school or recently graduated in previous academic semester
Credit Hours: Completed a minimum of 60 credit hours at time of application
